Mandolin Moody is a compassionate and experienced therapist who helps adults navigate life’s challenges while fostering greater self-understanding, confidence, and emotional well-being. She believes that meaningful growth occurs when individuals are given the opportunity to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, allowing them to better understand how their past influences their present and how they can intentionally shape their future.

Mandolin works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, trauma-related challenges, and emotional overwhelm. She understands that many people seek therapy during periods of uncertainty, loss, change, or personal reflection, and she provides a supportive environment where clients can gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop a deeper connection with themselves and others.

At the core of Mandolin’s work is the belief that relationships play a significant role in emotional health and personal growth. She helps clients examine patterns within their relationships, communication styles, self-perceptions, and emotional responses to better understand what may be contributing to distress or preventing them from reaching their goals. Through this process, clients can build healthier relationships, improve self-awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Mandolin earned her undergraduate degree from New York University and her Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, recognizing that every person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique. Drawing from evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care, she tailors treatment to support each client’s personal goals and growth.

In addition to her clinical experience, Mandolin has completed extensive post-graduate training in CBT-informed interventions, DBT, REBT, trauma-informed treatment, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, dissociation, mindfulness, suicide assessment and intervention, LGBTQIA+ affirmative care, racial trauma, substance use disorders, and EMDR-informed approaches. She has also pursued advanced training in clinical supervision, multicultural and trauma-informed supervision practices, professional ethics, and the treatment of complex mental health concerns across diverse populations.

Mandolin remains committed to ongoing professional development and continuously expands her clinical knowledge through advanced training and continuing education. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered, connected, and capable of creating meaningful change while building lives that align with their values, strengths, and authentic sense of self.
